Members and new applicants to observe code of Ethics
Confirm that they have been practising in the profession in excess of twelve months.
Abide by the following:
1. To conduct myself in the profession with honesty , sincerity and integrity in all dealings with clients
2. To verify the credentials of clients and satisfy myself that clients have a moral and legitimate reason to instruct.
3. To carry out my enquiries to the best of my abilityand to furnish a factual report.
4. To avoid all misleading statements in publicity and advertising.
5. To never knowingly represent more than one opposing party in a single matter and to do all in my power to avoid a conflict of interest.
6. To attend the committee when reasonably requested to do so.
7. To inform the committee if convicted of a criminal offence , not pertaining to traffice law.
8. To ensure that employees adhere to the B.A.I.P.S. code of ethics
9. To be registered under the Data Protection Act 1999 with the Data Protection Registrar and produce proof of such when applying or renewing membership.
